Looking for all past pupils! The Hill High School is starting an Alumni Association. Please register here and share with other past pupils.
The school will also be hosting an Alumni Launch information evening for all Alumni. Please join us. PLACE: The Hill High School Hall (67 Plinlimmon Road) DATE: Tuesday, 16 July 2024 TIME: 18:00
Please note:
1. Library membership - Our library is up and running and learners are encouraged to sign up with a once off R20 fee to get access to the library resources.
2. SGB elections - On the 15th of March at 17:00 there will be SGB elections. Parents who registered their names on the voters' roll are urged to ensure their attendance.
3. Late coming - Learners are habitually reporting late to school. Parents are encouraged to ensure learners are inisde the school premises at 7:30, latest. Our periods commence at 7:40.
4. End of Term 1 - Schools will be closing on the 20th of March and reopen on the 3rd of April. Reports will be issued when schools reopen.

A happy new year to the whole Hill High community .
We would like to welcome all our learners, teachers and parents to the year of 2024.
We hope and pray for new beginnings and opportunity in our education system and promise to offer the best education possible for our learners.
We urge all our learners to get ready for another amazing journey of fun education and adventure.
Please take note of the following dates as we dive straight into the year 2024.
1. Grade 8 orientation on the 10th to the 12th January, from 8h00.
2. Grade 11 and 12 textbook and stationery collection on the 15th January at 8h00 to 12h00.
3. Grade 9 and 10 textbook and stationery collection on the 16 of January, from 8h00 to 12h00.
All learners are to prepare full summer uniform.
Take note that teaching and learning will take place immediately as school opens.
All term 1 sport codes will commence immediately when term 1 plan is out.
We wish you an amazing year, filled with adventures, opportunities and growth.

PRINCIPAL'S NOTE
Welcome to the 2023 academic year, I hope you are refreshed and ready to work towards your goals.
I wish to welcome Mrs. Mthombeni who replaces Mrs. Gumede and also welcome Ms Mahlangu who replaces Mr Hlungwani.
I also take this opportunity to also notify parents that Mr Mukwevho has since been relocated to another school and no longer reports at The Hill High School.
Parents are also encouraged to make the following purchases:
1. Diary -R100, learners will have to pay a
replacement fee of R100 should they lose their diary.
2. Exemption forms for the 2023 academic year to be collected from the 23rd to the 27th of January 2023.
3. School tie: R150
The Hill High School currently has 1637 enrolled learners and 52 educators and therefore maintaining discipline is sometimes problematic and we are appealing to parents to make sure that learners are at school every day and that ALL learners are on time for school every day.
Our slogan for this year is #100%Nomakanjani. I look forward to a fruitful and productive year.
